About GTF 2026

Where Future TRADE

Is Made

The Global Trade Fair (GTF) 2026  is a major international trade and business event organized by Eki Global Holdings Ltd. It will be held in Kigali, Rwanda from October 12 – 18, 2026 running for a full seven days.

This is not an ordinary conference. It is a hands-on, deal-focused marketplace where businesses, governments, and investors from across Africa and the world will come together to buy, sell, invest, and sign agreements.

Think of it as a massive open marketplace like a world-class trade fair but one that is specifically designed to unlock Africa’s enormous economic potential and connect African businesses directly with global buyers and investors.

Programme Overview

7-Day Summit Agenda

O1

Opening Ceremony & High-Level Forum

Mon Oct 12

Day 1 sets the tone for the entire event. It is the most ceremonial day — designed to signal to Africa and the world that a new era of trade has begun. Global leaders, Heads of State, and senior ministers formally open the exhibition floor and address the strategic direction of African trade under AfCFTA.

O2

Agriculture & Food Systems Summit

Tue Oct 13

Day 2 focuses entirely on Africa’s agricultural wealth. With farming employing over 60% of Africa’s workforce and food security being a global priority, this day brings together commodity traders, food retailers, agri-tech firms, processors, and farmers in one place. The goal: supply contracts signed,
investment in farm infrastructure secured, and new food trade routes opened.

O3

Manufacturing & Industrialisation

Wed Oct 14

Day 3 centres on Africa’s manufacturing potential, the engine of job creation and export growth. From
textiles and garments to consumer electronics assembly, furniture, pharmaceuticals, and construction
materials, this day connects African factories directly with global retailers, distributors, and industrial
investors.

O4

Technology & Digital Economy Forum

Thu Oct 15

Day 4 is the most fast-paced day of GTF 2026. Africa’s tech ecosystem is booming, and this day gives
African fintech, e-commerce, agri-tech, healthtech, and AI startups their biggest stage yet. Investors,
platform companies, telecoms, and digital infrastructure providers converge to build the digital backbone
of African trade.

O5

Finance & Investment Summit (Diaspora Focus)

Fri Oct 16

Day 5 is the financial engine of GTF 2026. With a special focus on the African Diaspora who send over
$100 billion home annually this day channels that energy into structured investment. Sovereign Wealth
Funds, Development Finance Institutions, venture capital, and diaspora investors sit down with African
governments and project developers to fund the next generation of African infrastructure, housing,
energy, and business.

O6

Services & Creative Industries Day

Sat Oct 17

Day 6 is the most vibrant and culturally rich day of GTF 2026. Africa’s creative economy spanning film,
fashion, music, arts, tourism, and professional services is one of the fastest-growing sectors on the
continent. This day showcases Africa’s soft power alongside its economic power, attracting global
distributors, streaming platforms, fashion retailers, tourism agencies, and professional service buyers.

O7

Closing Summit & Kigali Policy Declaration

Sun Oct 18

Day 7 is the most consequential day of GTF 2026. It is the day when all the negotiations of the past six
days are formalised, when the Kigali Declaration on Trade Facilitation is formally adopted by
participating governments, and when the total economic value created across the week is announced to
the world. It closes with a celebration of what African trade has achieved and a commitment to what
comes next.
